How do you typically ring in the New Year? Well, whatever we did to usher in 2020…. let’s not try that again!
This year, New Year’s Eve may look different for your family. Maybe the big parties you’re used to aren’t happening or that annual fireworks show you love got cancelled. But what an opportunity we have to welcome the new year in a new way. To remind our families that life is seasonal, and we can find JOY in every season.
I will be sharing a few ways I think you can make this New Year’s Eve a special event for your family! And I wanted to start with a Non Year’s Eve Party!
Do you have younger kids? Don’t spoil bedtime, instead plan a Noon Year’s Eve Party!
Celebrate the “ball drop” at noon with a balloon drop instead! I love how It’s Always Autumn created a homemade balloon drop at home for her kids. Check out how easy it is here.

Countdown the hours with little gifts! It doesn’t need to be over the top! At every hour, let your kiddos open the little gift. Need ideas? Ring Pops, Confetti Poppers, Party Blowers, New Year’s Eve Glasses.

Watch a movie! I am sure there are several great NYE movies out there, but check out Happy New Year’s Charlie Brown (a classic!) or Winnie the Pooh A Very Merry New Year.
And of course, don’t forget music! Music changes any atmosphere. I’ve put together a kid’s appropriate Spotify playlist here that you can use to set the tone for your party!

Need help in pulling off this cute party? This party in a box has everything you need to ring in the new year, in a new way! Ditch the same ole’ black and gold and let’s make some brighter wishes for 2021!
